Introduction

The campus of United Tribes Technical College (UTTC) is immediately south of the municipal airport at Bismarck, North Dakota. The site is a former military post. Since 1969, the tribes of North Dakota have repurposed the century-old buildings for educating and training American Indian students and their families for economic, social and cultural advancement.

UTTC offers academic, career and technical education programs on the college’s 230-acre campus along Bismarck’s University Drive and online through distance education. While American Indians are the majority of the student body, individuals of all racial and ethnic backgrounds are welcomed for enrollment and instruction in this culturally diverse setting.
